■Short biography

Hiromasa Yagyu was born in 1970. He received the B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Osaka Institute of Technology, Osaka, Japan, in 1993, and the Ph.D. degree in Micro Engineering from Kyoto University, Kyoto (supervisor Prof. Osamu Tabata), Japan, in 2007. From 1993, he joined Mitsuboshi Belting Ltd., Kobe, Japan, where he worked on functional materials and its processing technique. From 2002 to 2004, he was researcher in Ritsumeikan University, Shiga, Japan. In 2013, he joined the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Kanto Gakuin University as an associate professor. From April 2018, he is a Professor at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Kanto Gakuin University, Yokohama, Japan. He currently engaged in the research of metal nanoparticles, microfabrication process and nano-material simulation. He was honored with Bridgestone Soft materials Frontier Award, Encouraging Prize in 2015.
